The Rob Knox Film Festival

The Rob Knox Film Festival is held annually in June in Bexley, London, in memory of Rob who played Marcus Belby in Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Its aims are to:

– To raise the profile of positive behaviour by young people.
– To provide an opportunity for locally made films to reach a wider audience.
– To provide an opportunity for young people to see independent films from around the
world.
– To provide learning opportunities for young filmmakers.
– To identify films that tackle social issues or that could be used in an educational context.

It consists of an awards night at Cineworld, Bexleyheath, London, and where we have sufficient entries screenings at community venues and workshops..

The Rob Knox Film Festival 2018 will present 10 awards and these will be a crystal trophy and a certificate.

The actual categories will be tailored to fit submissions but will include Best Film, Best Film under 5 minutes, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress. Other potential categories might be Best Editing, Cinematography, best music video, best web series, best comedy, best social issue film, it really is dependant on the nature of the films submitted

The awards are a crystal trophy and a certificate.
